Where do you work?
Hi, my name is Joanne and I work at Brierley Community Hub, in Little Hulton. I recently started working for Aspire in January 2024, the staff have made me feel welcome and they are very friendly. For my first week, I was based at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre completing my training with Susan, the Admin Lead, where I learnt a lot and now, I am back at Brierley and settling in well.
What are you looking forward to in your new role?
I am the Admin Officer at Brierley Community Hub, the role is fast paced, but I am really looking forward to getting stuck in, learning new things, and meeting new people.
A little bit about your career background?
Most of my career has been in quality and health and safety. I worked in the manufacturing industry for 15 years and then went into health and safety at a garden centre, so I am excited to try something different and I am really enjoying it so far!
What is life like outside of work?
I live with my partner, three children and a crazy jack russell. Life outside of work is chaotic, constantly on to go, with giving lifts to activities and school events. Most weekends I will either be on family outings or socialising with friends, so as you can probably tell, I like to be busy!
