Where do you work?
I work at the Poppy Dementia Day Support and Poppy Dementia Suite. I started working with Aspire in January. The staff at Poppy have been very helpful and welcoming, which has made it very easy for me to settle into my role.

What does an average day look like for you at Aspire?
My responsibilities vary from day to day. I often conduct assessments and develop moving and handling guidelines, as well as therapeutic interventions and exercises programmes for the people we support. I support individuals at Poppy Dementia Suite to maintain their physical abilities and ensure their comfort and safety during their stay.

I am also part of the team that deliver moving and handling training to new and existing staff.

What made you want to work for Aspire?
I have a strong desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives by helping them manage their physical conditions and maintain their mobility, whilst ensuring they stay safe. Working at Aspire gives me an opportunity to apply my skills and contribute to the well-being of individuals in an innovative and stimulating approach.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy having direct interactions with the people we support and being able to build relationship with them. I also enjoy the collaborative environment, which fosters mutual support and knowledge sharing to provide care in a holistic manner.

What is life like outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy socialising and spending quality time with my family and friends.
