On Sunday 9th July, Richard Sinclair, an Aspire Support Worker, embarked on a charity bike ride, pedalling 53 miles. This bike ride marked Richard’s 11th participation in the Manchester to Blackpool charity bike ride, covering a 60-mile route. After months of training and dedication, Richard completed the ride in an impressive 5 hours and 25 minutes. The event was very important to Richard, as he rode in memory of his father-in-law Peter Clayton, and a dear friend and colleague, Charlie. The ride wasn’t just a physical challenge but also emotional.
Through Richard’s efforts, he successfully raised £820.00 in support of Christie Cancer Care Charity, a charity close to his heart.
“I am very proud of completing the charity bike ride in just over 5 hours. One of the reasons I participated in the bike ride was in memory of my father-in-law Peter and close colleague, Charlie. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to everyone, who was kind enough to sponsor me for this year’s Manchester to Blackpool bike ride in aid of Christie Cancer Care, thank you. It is such a fun event to participate in and I only wish that more people were brave enough to consider doing it.” – Richard Sinclair
Congratulations, Richard, on your inspiring achievement. Your commitment is a true aspiration!
