A huge Congratulations to our Finance Director, Dianne Blamire, who has recently been recognised as a finalist in the North West Finance Awards for Finance Director of the Year!
Dianne started her finance journey at Salford City Council, before taking the opportunity to join Aspire as we spun out from the council in 2015.
Following her heart, Dianne was determined to ensure the new company was set up to be financially viable to protect high-quality care during severe funding cuts, she took a leap of faith and has been pivotal in driving forward Adult Social Care in Salford ever since.
Over the years she has continued to give her all, as Finance Director and Deputy CEO, producing clean, unadjusted, and unqualified accounts, delivering balanced budgets, and setting strategic plans that are financially robust without compromising on the quality of care. Dianne has also played a key role in co-designing finance and information systems making a significant contribution across our sector.
Following a rigorous application and interview process, beating off numerous other candidates, Dianne was successful in being shortlisted to just one of 5 other Finance Directors in her category, and invited to a glittering ceremony at the Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester along with her colleagues and family. Unfortunately, a trophy wasn’t awarded on the night, but we are all extremely proud of her amazing achievement in being nominated and would like to say a big well done from everyone at Aspire!
