Today is World Kindness Day, and we want to celebrate someone who truly shows what kindness means, Greg, one of our amazing Aspire Volunteers.

Greg is always ready to help and support others. Every time he comes into the kitchen, he brings a smile that brightens everyone’s day. From helping with daily tasks to bringing in sweet treats to share, Greg is always thoughtful and showing kindness.

He volunteers at both St George’s Café and the Forget Me Not Café at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre. His hard work and friendly attitude make a real difference, creating a welcoming and positive environment for staff, the people we support and the general public visiting our cafes.

As one colleague said, “He’s always smiling and keeps things running smoothly. Whether he’s clearing tables, making coffees, or doing the washing up, Greg is always there to help.” His efforts were even recognised last summer when he was shortlisted for the Volunteer of the Year Award by Salford CVS.

There really aren’t enough people like Greg in the world! His kindness, positivity, and willingness to help make him a truly valuable part of our Aspire community.

If you’d like to find out how to become a volunteer at Aspire, email us at aspire@iamaspire.org.uk. Let’s all try to follow Greg’s example and be kind to each other, every day!
