I have been with Aspire since the beginning of January, I’m based at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre as a causal admin officer and I’m really enjoying the office.
What do you do as part of your job role on an average day?
My working day always begins the same, I start the day in reception at HBRC, making sure everyone is greeted with a nice smile in the morning. Once I have finished there my day can vary really. It can consist of me answering emails, inputting information and timesheets, following up on things, and keeping track of stationery, orders, etc. Some days can be really busy, but the role is fun and I enjoy it.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
Every day is different, and no two days are the same so you never know what could happen. I also really enjoy how kind and friendly all the staff are. All the help and support I receive from everyone is very appreciated, and I have the bonus of my mother being an assistant cook in the Forget Me Not café and is still making me dinners daily, which makes it that little more enjoyable.
What is life like outside of work?
Life outside of work consists of me working that little bit more behind a bar at my local cricket club. Besides that, I do like to go out with friends as much as possible whether it’s a simple coffee trip or a venture to the Zoo, or even a night on the town. Having a rather big family of brothers, nieces, nephews, and cousins means I spend a lot of time with family whether it’s a party or just a simple gathering.
