Our headquarters at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre in Swinton, has a total of 290 employees, who provide person centred support services to people in Salford, supporting adults and young people with complex needs, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older people and people living with dementia.
We are a community interest company and committed to being a Living Wage employer, paying £9 or above to all employees – including apprentices –(rising to £9.30 from April 2020) which is the Living Wage rate that has been set by the Living Wage Foundation and is higher than that set by the Government.
Our staff feel well-paid and as a result are motivated and more productive. It helps us to retain staff which significantly reduces training and recruitment advertising costs. It’s good for staff but it also good for business and allows us to attract the best staff into our caring roles which in turn benefits the people we support.
We value each and every one of our workforce who are dedicated to the work that they do – and it is only right that they get paid in a way that reflects their hard work in providing a range of services in the community to enabling individuals to fulfil their aspirations and live full independent lives.
