We are currently recruiting for a Green Spaces Activity Coordinator to join our team. This is a brand-new role to Aspire, and will help us to develop and build on our existing activity programme to further enrich the lives of the people we support and our workforce. You will be a passionate green space lover, with an ability to engage the people we support in a range of horticulture and gardening-related activities. Whether it’s developing our own green spaces or engaging in local green space opportunities such as community allotments and gardening projects, you will be able to enhance the skills of the people we support and help them to develop a love for the great outdoors. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a similar role, and you will have extensive knowledge of the Salford community landscape, knowing what’s on offer locally and having great connections, helping to build lasting and meaningful relationships with external providers, and organisations, health practitioners and the wider community.
You will work as part of a newly formed team of activity coordinators, under the guidance of your team leader, to collectively enhance our offer. You will be able to design, plan and facilitate your own sessions to coordinate a programme that reflects the needs of the people we support and be able to evaluate, analyse and write reports to show the impact of the activities on offer. You’ll have a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to engage and motivate people, helping them to reach their full potential.
In return, we can offer a supportive, progressive working environment and a rewarding career. We are a living wage employer, offering competitive rates of pay. We invest in our workforce and will offer ongoing training to help you develop your career with us. Other benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro-rata, including bank holidays), company pension, free parking and access to a wealth of discounts via a healthcare industry discount scheme.
