Aspire provides extraordinary support for exceptional people living with Dementia and Learning Disabilities in Salford and the surrounding areas. We offer a range of day services, respite care, supported living, and community and carer support, helping people to live their lives, their way. This is an exciting new opportunity to join Aspire as an Accountant, reporting directly to the Finance Director. 

As part of this role, you will be expected to undertake a range of financial and management accountancy duties including costings, budget preparation and monitoring, income and expenditure analysis, variance analysis, cash flow projections, grant claims, preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements. You will be able to provide financial advice, guidance and support to budget managers and colleagues, promoting financial awareness and delivering financial training across our services.

You will oversee the delivery of the financial appointeeship service, providing line management support to the Finance Assistant, and ensuring we meet all statutory requirements.   Supporting the development of new systems and processes, making effective use of available technologies, is also a key part of the role. Some areas of our accountancy and financial transaction services are outsourced, and it is expected that you will act as the main point of contact for these services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accountancy, excellent numerical, analytical and IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.  An accountancy qualification, e.g., AAT, CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, is required for this role.
